Vintage Reston:

Our Mid-Century Annex & Pop-Up Lounge

About VINTAGE RESTON

Vintage Reston is a temporary mid-century modern resale shop and zero-proof lounge at historic Lake Anne Plaza, created by Lake Anne Brew House co-owner, architect, artist, and curator Melissa Romano.

Located in the former Chesapeake Chocolates space next door to Lake Anne Brew House, Vintage Reston gives the Brew House’s future taproom expansion space an unexpected second life while the permitting process continues. Rather than leave the space empty, it has been transformed into a living showroom inspired by Reston’s mid-century design heritage.

Sit, Sip, Shop

“Vintage Reston isn’t your typical antique shop, it’s an interactive lounge experience.

Settle into a Danish modern chair, gather around a mid-century coffee table, enjoy a zero-proof beverage, and explore the furnishings, décor, lighting, glassware, barware, and artwork around you. Nearly everything in the space is available for purchase.

The collection brings together carefully sourced and restored vintage pieces from Melissa’s personal collection, select consigned furniture and home goods, and a small selection of original artwork. Because pieces regularly find new homes and new finds arrive, the space is always evolving.

Vintage Reston is designed to be experienced, not simply browsed.

A Zero-Proof Lounge

Alongside the vintage collection, Vintage Reston offers a curated selection of packaged non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy while you shop or relax on the plaza.

Expect craft zero-proof cocktails, non-alcoholic beer, functional and adaptogenic drinks, nostalgic sodas, and other thoughtfully chosen beverages. The pop-up is a place to slow down, discover something distinctive, and enjoy Lake Anne in a new way.

Rooted in Reston

Mid-century modern design feels especially at home at Lake Anne. Founded in the 1960s, Reston was shaped by Robert E. Simon Jr.’s modernist vision for a connected, livable community, and Lake Anne Village Center remains one of its most recognizable expressions.

Vintage Reston celebrates that legacy through objects made to be used, lived with, and loved—not kept behind ropes or reserved for special occasions.

A Temporary, Creative Use

Vintage Reston is intentionally temporary. Lake Anne Brew House still plans to expand its taproom into this neighboring space once permits are complete.

Until then, Vintage Reston is an opportunity to bring together design, preservation, creativity, and community in a space that reflects the character and history of Lake Anne.
